What do Presbyterians believe? PC(USA) policy statements:
- The interreligious Stance of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). A policy statement from the 221st General Assembly (2014). The heart of the document rests with those who work locally to develop and maintain relationships with people of other religious traditions.
- “Toward an Understanding of Christian-Muslim Relations.” With the marked rise of concerns about Islam, and alarming anti-Muslim statements and actions, it is a good time to learn more about the faith and practice of Muslims, and to interact with them (approved by the 219th General Assembly in July 2010). The paper includes “Suggestions for Study,” which are useful for further education for Christian study groups and for Christian-Muslim interfaith dialogue.

We have been in contact with one another for more than 14 centuries. Today, Muslims and Christians comprise nearly half the world’s population.
- “Remembering a biblical narrative that shapes our interfaith commitments” by J. Herbert Nelson II (2016).
- Striving together in dialogue: A Muslim-Christian call to reflection and action. In late 2000, this paper was authored by Christians and Muslims together as an outcome of a series of international dialogues facilitated over the span of a decade by the World Council of Churches.
