Communications help
The Presbyterian Communicators’ Network is a great resource for information not only about the Presbyterian Mission Agency but also for tools on how to develop a better communications program for your church or mid council. Customized communications workshops can also be scheduled. Find out more information about the network here.
Our denominational magazine, Presbyterians Today, offers bimonthly stories and resources that are very helpful in ministry. Visit the website or blog.
Our popular What We Believe resources can be found here. What We Believe outlines many of the most pressing faith questions and is particularly useful for those who may be new to the church and wants to know what the PC(USA) believes about baptism, predestination and many other topics. You may find it useful for reference, especially in welcoming new members to the church.
If you are looking for more in-depth information or full-text indexes about the Social Policy compilation or selected theological statements of the PC(USA), start here. For the constitution of the church (Book of Confessions and Book of Order), go here.
Pastors, church leaders and staff we meet want to know how the Presbyterian Mission Agency is sharing the love of God with the world. If you’d like to read stories that show how we’re sharing our faith, you can find Stories of Faith here.

Many congregations have active Presbyterian Women’s groups; PW also operates in presbyteries and synods, as well as at the churchwide level. Find out what resources are available for Presbyterian Women for Bible study, justice and peace, mission, leadership development and much more!
PC(USA) lectionary
Many church leaders turn to our daily lectionary for inspiration, daily devotionals and leading prayer gatherings. Our Sunday lectionary resources are essential when it is time to plan a service.
If you’re looking for a list of special days and emphases, you’ll find a comprehensive index here, with suggested scripture and information. We also publish Call to Worship, a quarterly journal for those who plan worship.
Resources for existing or future congregations
Some congregations are ready to answer serious questions about who they are and how they relate to the world. We have a team of people who can help, and resources that can walk you through the process.
The office of Vital Congregations works with pastors, church committees and mid councils to provide training, materials and consultation for all worshiping communities and for planting new congregations.
Our Church Transformation resource, New Beginnings, is a discernment based assessment process that provides a way for individual congregations who feel stuck, to envision a new future for their churches.
