New site allows readers to easily access the many resources available from across the PC(USA)

LOUISVILLE — As Christians across the globe prepare their hearts, homes and houses of worship to welcome and celebrate Jesus’ birth at Christmas, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has created a new online landing page that lists a wide variety of devotional and worship resources from across the agencies of the PC(USA) just in time for the Advent season, which begins on Sunday, Dec. 3.
“The season of Advent has a double focus,” said the Rev. Dr. David Gambrell, associate for worship, Office of Theology and Worship. “As we prepare to celebrate the incarnation and nativity of the Lord, we also watch, work and pray for the coming of Christ’s realm of righteousness, justice and peace.”
The new website seeks to direct individuals, families and worship planners to a host of useful resources from the Presbyterian Mission Agency, its ministry areas and partners, PC(USA) Special Offerings, the Presbyterian Foundation and the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, among others.
“This year the season of Advent is somewhat compressed, with the Fourth Sunday of Advent falling on December 24, Christmas Eve,” noted Gambrell. “Congregations will need to be creative in bridging this transition while observing cherished Advent and Christmas traditions.”
