LAKE TAHOE, Nevada — Step back in time and picture this: It’s 1924, and nestled in the pristine shores of Lake Tahoe, a youth camp emerges amidst the beauty of nature. Fast forward to 2024, and that very place has transformed into the beautifully appointed and versatile Zephyr Point Presbyterian Camp & Conference Center in Zephyr Cove, Nevada.
For a century, Zephyr Point has been a sanctuary for individuals seeking inspiration, growth and reflection. It all began with a handful of tents and a vision to create a place where young minds could connect with God, nature and each other. Over the years, Zephyr Point has transformed into a sprawling campus, boasting a variety of lodging and conference facilities, breathtaking views and a rich history of nurturing personal and spiritual growth.
Zephyr Point is preparing for its Centennial celebration set for Sept. 20-22.
“The Centennial Celebration is an occasion to honor the remarkable journey Zephyr Point has undertaken,” said Dick Young, executive director of Zephyr Point Presbyterian Camp & Conference Center. “From those early days of sleeping under the stars in tents to becoming a world-class conference center, Zephyr Point has touched the lives of countless individuals. We’re excited to celebrate the milestone with our extended Zephyr Point family and our local community.”
