Theology, Formation & Evangelism brings together several ministries that form and transform disciples, leaders, congregations, and new worshiping communities. Our ministries are diverse, but each empowers a unique witness to Jesus Christ.
Cohort Groups
“We become what we practice. Practices shape and change our lives. God is using our changing lives for the transformation of the world. Salvation is about the transformation of lives, relationships, communities, peoples, nations and Creation.” (From https://8habits.org/preamble/)
Scattered Church
The resources here are designed for pastoral leaders, sessions, and worship committees who are seeking faithful and creative ways to gather as communities of witness online and in alternative ways as well as in safe in person ways as local circumstances permit.

1001 New Worshiping Communities
1001 new worshiping communities is a movement happening in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Across the PC(USA), God is raising up leaders in churches and presbyteries who are creating new worshiping communities. They are taking on new and varied forms of church for our changing culture. Primarily they are seeking to make and form new disciples of Jesus Christ, to change and transform the world.
Christian Formation
The Office of Christian Formation supports formation ministries of faith communities and connects leaders with resources and practices that inspire fresh ways of thinking about the forming of faith over a person’s lifetime. The Matthew 25 vision calls us to engage in lifelong discipleship to join God at work in the community and the world. We support age and stage ministries, intergenerational ministries and support the work of our partner associations in the Christian Formation Collective.

Evangelism
The gospel brings hope and restoration to the world. The good news of the gospel is that God fiercely loves humanity and is actively working to reconcile and restore broken systems, relationships, and lives. Evangelism is the journey in which our very being, activity and words join in God’s transformative mission.

Theology & Worship
